Puteri Hill is located behind Maziah Palace. It can be accessed from the side stairs from the Kuala Terengganu Tourist Information Centre. The entrance fee was RM1 per entry in year 2010.

There is a big cannon with a small cannon very close to it. The bigger cannon is called the mother and so they are called 'The Cannon That Give Birth'. These cannons face the Duyung Island near the mouth of Terengganu River.

A little further up is a bell. This Bell is made of copper and weights 175 kg. It was made in 1908 during the reign of Sultan Zainal Abidin to replace the bell made in 1853 during reign of Sultan Umar. This bell is used to alarm people when there is any mishap, disaster or attack.

On the top of this hill is The Fortress. There are a few small cannons, a lighthouse and a flagpole. Shahbandar Square can be seen clearly from this fortress. The Throne can be seen upon entering the fortress. This throne was made during the reign of Sultan Umar to discuss strategies with his officials. Behind the Throne, there is a small gun powder hole.

The Lighthouse was built to guide fishermen and seamen that entered Kuala Terengganu. It was also called 'The State Estuary Sign'. It's height is about 10 m, stands at 35 m above sea level and is built using concrete and iron. It's white light can be seen 15 nautical miles away.

The Flagpole was built during the reign of Sultan Sulaiman Badrul Alam Shah. It has a height of 18 m.

Lastly, if you were to visit any where in Terengganu, kindly keep the places clean by throwing your rubbish into rubbish bins.
