Indians in Penang, Malaysia celebrate the fire-walking ceremony in the month of July. The preparation and prayer for this event start a week before the fire-walking ceremony.The devotees will have to go on a vegetarian diet for at least week before the occasion.

On the fire-walking day itself, some devotees will bring milk, walk 3 rounds around the coal-fire area. Then they will pour the milk at the side of the coal-fire area. Some devotees who want walk across the coal-fire area, will have to wait in a row for the god to reach the fire-walking area.

As I know very little about this occasion, I don't really know the god's name for this occasion but I think it is Lord Siva because of the 'spear' that he is holding as shown in the top right photo.
