Penang Heng Jin Cha, Pek Koay and Leng Ci Kang (Chinese)
Heng Jin Cha is a dessert which is made from powdered almond and boiled until it is a little thick (maybe some starch is added to it). This dessert is served warm and usually served with 'yu cha koay'. One bowl of this food is normally RM2.50 (year 2013 price). The left side photo shows Heng Jin Cha on the right and 'Yu Cha Koay' at the bottom. This dessert is special because it is very difficult to get.
Pek Koay is a type of nut. This nut is boiled with water which is added with sugar until the pek koay is soft. This dessert can be served warm or cold. One bowl of this dessert is normally RM2.50 (year 2013 price). The left side photo shows Pek Koay on the left next to heng jin cha.
Leng Ci Kang is also a type of nut. This nut is boiled with water which is added with sugar and 'genggeng' or longan until the leng ci is soft. One bowl of this dessert is normally RM2.00 (year 2013 price).
