Penang Poh Piah (Chinese)
The ingredients of Poh Piah are thinly sliced 'mangkuang' and carrot and small pieces of fried tauhu, all mixed together.
The poh piah skin is made from wheat flour into very thin round pieces. This 'skin' is then spread with sweet paste, brown prawn paste and chili paste. A piece of salad leaf is then put on top of poh piah 'skin'. The mixture of the above mentioned ingredients is then put onto the leaf and wrapped up.
One roll of poh piah is about RM0.80 to RM1.20 depending on the amount of ingredients put inside the 'wrapper'.
